They did their best, but their eating habits became my example about what healthy eating was.  I had no idea just how bad it was until I became an adult.  See I suffered from asthma as a kid, and having unhealthy parents produced some very unhealthy habits. My parents smoked. Having a respiratory condition like asthma is the last thing you want as a child, and as an adult. I gained a lot weight from the medication I was taking.

It was hard for me. I was never fat as a child and suddenly my bulging middle was getting in the way and dragging me down. I struggled to try to lose-weight but I didn’t have a sound nutritional plan to help me do it. See I was allergic to just about everything.  I didn’t have the benefit of having lived with a good example of what good eating habits were.  Many times my attempts at weight-loss failed! Biggest reason was because I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO EAT!
